This is a super late post from the VIB Rouge sale that happened in early November. I did a little damage but not nearly as much as last year when I bought three orders during the one sale. Without further ado, let’s dive in!
First off I tried to get a good mix of wants and needs. I got a couple samples as well.
First off is a set of of my favourite skincare items. I love the GinZing line from Origins which people who have been reading my blog for any length of time will already know. So when I was running out of moisturizer and had none of the cleanser left I needed to restock and this kit was perfect. This set is called the Let It Glow set. This set is sold out online but retailed for 41$.
Next in skincare has been on my wishlist for a while. I have heard nothing but good things about this mask and that it is a dupe for the Glam Glow Supermud mask that I am obsessed with. This is the Sephora brand mud mask. I have tried it three times now and I do like it. It does do something similar to the Glam Glow one, but the smell is a little stronger and it is a gritty texture that I think will take some getting used to. It does purify and suck out the gunk from my pores so I think it is a definite thumbs up for me. This mask retails for 24$.
Next is an item I really wanted to love. I find after mud masks or pore strips that I can see the little pieces of gunk coming out my pores but can’t get them out. This is the Sephora brand extractor. I tried this, but it did not work well at all. I tried pressing it all over my face and nothing happened. I have an easier time just using my fingers… I returned this item since then. This item retails for 21$.
For makeup I only bought one item. This was an impulse buy but it is for charity and it is a stunning colour. This is from Bite beauty and it was their limited edition Mauvember shade. For those who do not know what Movember is it is in November when men grow mustaches and raise money for Men’s health (Testicular Cancer, Prostate Cancer, mental health, etc.). So being geniuses Bite created a beautiful Mauve shade for the occasion with proceeds going to the Movember movement. This colour is stunning and the formula on Bite lipstick is amazing! This retailed for 28$.
For nails I got sucked into this mini set from Formula X. This has two colours and it is so cute. I love navy polish and this shimmer shade is breath taking! I have not used it yet, but I highly recommend Formula X polishes. This little set retailed for 13$.
For samples I redeemed 200 points for two items. First off is this mini sample of the new Glam Glow Flashmud Brightening Treatment. I have not tried this yet, but I love Glam Glow so I have high hopes for this little guy. The full size retails for 76$!
Last was an impulse but my friend told me she loved it so I had to try it. This is a sample rollerball of the Nest Indigo Perfume. It is a stunning perfume. I am picky and usually like sweet, fruity smells but this one has grown on me. The notes in this perfume are supposed to be Moroccan Tea, Kashmir Wood, Cardamom, Wild Fig. Whatever it is is amazing! The rollerball version of this perfume retails for 30$.
