Haul: RMS Beauty

Hey everyone!

Aren’t I on a roll lately?! This haul is from a few weeks ago but I am finally getting around to writing about it. I recently went to a work charity event where you had a fifteen minute consultation with a makeup artist and could then purchase what was used on you. This place has brands like Kevin Aucoin and RMS Beauty, which I have been meaning to try. I like most beauty lovers am obsessed with MakeupTIA (check her out if you haven’t already!). She is a gorgeous vlogger who has a knack for picking beautiful natural makeup products that look so natural and beautiful on me. I am pale like her which helps for sure. She has mentioned RMS Beauty many times on her channel so I was so happy to find a place that sold it here that would help me save on shipping. I went to the event looking for a face look that would solve my oily skin since moving here. I thought it would be dry skin that would be my issue but the dryness seems to have my skin on oil-production overload. The artist used two notable products from RMS on my face and I had to have them.

Quick look at my face. I had no makeup on but what she did that night. I was in love with the coverage of the foundation and the contour in particular.

RMS Beauty has a large variety of potted products that look like these little guys. They have a luminizer (that was sold out) that has been on my list forever, cream shadows, lip & cheek tints to name a few.

First up I got the foundation she used. She was a little heavy handed for my liking. I like a natural look for foundation since my skin isn’t super bad, but rather needs little evening in colour and something to cancel out the redness I have. She applied it so heavily that I could barely see all my freckles. I have since used this product lightly applied with fingers then buffed in with my Beauty Blender and it is lovely. This is their “un” cover-up in 11: A pale shade with a subtle yellow base (not the palest shade). This seems to be almost a concealer type of product but easily works as a foundation if applied lightly.

This next product looks terrifying in the pot but she used a Beauty Blender and it looked amazing. I have yet to be able to replicate how she contoured with this bronzer but I have managed to get a decent light contour with it. I think I am just too afraid of how dark it looks and having it look like mud on me. She used the tip of the sponge and lightly dabbed up and down my cheekbone until it was well blended. This is their buriti bronzer.

All of their products seem to contain ingredients that are great for your skin and have organic quality components. I am very impressed with the two items I purchased and I will be getting the Living Luminizer when I have money and if it comes back in stock.

Let me know if any of you have used anything from RMS Beauty and if you have any suggestions.

Thanks for reading and until next time! 🙂
